Pintrest assignment

In my Education Technology class I was asked to find inspiration for a lesson on pintrest. After browsing and pinning I liked the idea of having students build a model of the Human Brain and doing a presentation on the lobes of the brain and their functions. Part of my assignment is to do the lesson myself and post how I did it here. So without further ado...
Gather materials. I needed a template for a brain hat, card stock, glue, tape, a sharpie, scissors, and colored pencils. I also needed my computer. You don't need the cute little boy but he doesn't hurt ;). Here is link to the brain hat template http://www.ellenjmchenry.com/homeschool-freedownloads/lifesciences-games/brainhemishpere.php.
I decided that I wanted my brain hat a little more sturdy so the first thing I did was glue the template to a sheet of cardstock.

Next I labeled the lobes of the brain with a sharpie.

Then on the back of each side I wrote right or left.
Next I colored the lobes of the brain each a different color.

Now I cut out each half of my brain.

On my template there were about 8 places to cut .
Now I go back to where I cut and tape it back together pulling one side behind the other to give my brain a round shape.

After you repeat this process on both sides of your brain you tape them together to make a hat. Don't I have a cute model?
The next part of my assignment was for student to create a presentation on the lobes of the brain and the functions of each lobe. I decided to create a Prezi.
